Extract from the 1982 film "FRAGMENTS CYCLES SONS: AN EXHIBITION OF PHOTOGRAPHS BY SCOTT MACLEAY"

A brief extract of a documentary on my work created by a Dutch cultural documentary team on the occasion of my multimedia exhibition during the 1982 Biennale Month of Photography in Paris. This copy was made from a 30 year-old U-matic copy of the original tape and so the quality has suffered considerably. A brief extract from the film FRAGMENTS CYCLES SONS: AN EXHIBITION OF PHOTOGRAPHS BY SCOTT MACLEAY produced a Dutch cultural documentary team on the occasion of my multimedia exhibition during the 1982 Biennale Month of Photography in Paris. This extract was made from a 30 year-old U-matic copy of the original tape and so the quality has suffered considerably. Couldn't afford a studio those first years in Paris and so I had to transform our living room every time I wanted to work. It is amusing to see how my conceptual preoccupations have remained relatively unchanged even if the processes I employ underwent considerable development over the years.

This was my second participation in the Biennale. In 1980, I participated in the exhibition “Avant-Garde” at the Galérie Ufficio dell’Arte / Créatis. There was to be a third participation in 1988 as part of the spectacular group exhibition “Splendeurs et Misères du Corps” with Richard Avedon, Duane Micheals, Ralph Gibson, Robert Mapplethorpe, Manuel Alvarez bravo, Mario Cravo Neto, Joel-Peter Within, Jan Saudek, Elliot Erwitt, Bettina Rheims and several others at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris.
